Who will I speak to on the phone or communicate with by email or meet with?

First of all, if you feel anxious or nervous about contacting our service, that is completely normal! You have never met anyone from this service before and you may wonder whether speaking to a stranger or coming to see a counsellor/coach will be helpful for you. We will do our best to answer any questions that you have when we first speak on the telephone, but it is understandable if you need some time to make the decision. We are happy to talk to you, or answer your email query first. (Ask A Question)

You would liaise with a qualified counsellor who is a member or accredited by the British Association of Counselling and Psychotherapy (BACP). The counsellor adheres to the code of ethics and practice set out by the BACP. The confidential counselling service is offered to all, irrespective of religious belief, age, sex, or sexual orientation, accepting clients as they are and offering non-judgmental, professional attention, care and support.

If you would like to make an assessment appointment with me I will be pleased to arrange this with you. An assessment session is a 50 minute session (sometimes an hour for couples) to enable us to explore your situation and to think together about whether further counselling would be helpful for you. Before your first session, I will ask for your address in order to send you a Personal Information sheet to complete and bring with you to your assessment session.
